The Virtual Education Partnership has launched an exciting new product for 2005 and one which uses IT to pro-actively help the transition of pupils from Year Six to Year Seven. CreativeVR - Transition enables Year Seven pupils to prepare a digital 'case study' of their own experiences of the move.

We have developed a 3D, real-time environment that can be used in a number of ways, but primarily it allows Yr 7 pupils to digitally display photographs, maps, timetables and videos in a contained environment that can then be sent out as a CD-ROM to prospective new pupils and their parents. This way parents as well as children can experience school life and help prepare their children.

CreativeVR - Transition has been launched following a successful trial at a large comprehensive school in Derby. The package can also be used by Schools as a marketing tool to record any school trips, or achievements.
