Children’s University After-School Project
For two years now primary school students at St Francis of Assisi School, Garston have worked with VEd to produce their own easy to navigate VR galleries and have used CreativeVR as a portal to their favourite websites and to link projects they have been involved in.

Using material from the Museum of London’s website on Samuel Pepys, students made galleries incorporating multimedia ICT skills with learning history and using the excellent images and information on the site.

St Julie’s Catholic High School for Girls
Students from St Julie’s Catholic High School for Girls, Woolton Liverpool are working on many projects with VEd. Students are creating their own portfolios of artwork and this movie shows a gallery in which girls’ artwork is accompanied by music played by GCSE music students. The Liverpool theme has been linked into Liverpool’s Capital of Culture videos and girls can share their galleries with virtual characters.

Watch out for the Media Studies project on the school production, "Annie" and the virtual trips to Switzerland and the Battlefields of Northern France. Students can link their plinths to Word documents, Powerpoint and URL's to produce an integrated multimedia portfolio of their work.

The Last Gathering
Some extracts from a gallery based on the final reunion of surviving World War One veterans, held last April at the National Archive in Kew and sadly ignored by most of our national media.

The piano playing by 104 year old Conrad, and 104 year old Henry Allingham’s trip back in time using a headset to see the Kitchener poster he had first seen 89 years before, are recorded for posterity in these galleries. Videos of original First World War footage can be played in the viewing plinths.

St. Winifrede’s Shrine, Holywell
Extracts from a gallery experience of St Winifrede’s Well in Holywell, North Wales, showing photographs from Flintshire Public Records Office, Hawarden. Contemporary film and video from the 2003 Saint’s Day and Pilgrimage enable people to cross-reference historical and cultural archives to encourage tourist interest in a small town, whose shrine changed the course of history. Gathering the Jewels is an excellent information source.

Dun Laoghaire Festival of World Cultures 2003
Extracts from a gallery based on the Dun Laoghaire World Cultures Festival 2003 show how CreativeVR and a digital camera with video facility can bring a cultural, heritage or sporting activity to life and allow it to be shared anywhere in the world.
