- Launch of CreativeVR - Transition |
CreativeVR
-Transition enables Year 7 pupils to prepare a digital
'case study' of their own experiences of their move from Year 6. This
software can be
used in a number of ways, but primarily it allows Year 7 pupils to
digitally display photographs, maps, timetables and videos in a contained
3D, real-time environment. This can then be sent out as a CD-ROM
to prospective new pupils and their parents.

- First World War Veterans Last Reunion Celebration |
|
VEd,
as part of the Dark
Horse Venture Streets Ahead partnership, was privileged
to meet 9 surviving veterans of the First World War, who had travelled
down to the Public
Records Office (now National
Archives) at Kew to meet together for the last time.
In
an unforgettable and deeply moving experience for the guests,
who included Prince Charles, veterans (aged between 102 and 108
years old) met schoolchildren and talked about their war experiences
via video-conferencing, and showed the wit and verve that has
kept them active and lively after living through an entire century.
More
details on the day's event can be found here.
A special version of CreativeVR - Picture Gallery will
be available in the download section,
with images and sounds from the event. |
